have to be barney, the only player who can match and beat Taylor when at his best. i hate losing and everyone else has took too many beatings to really believe they can do a job on Taylor. barney oozes class, while Taylor i think can be a lil patronizing at times(might just be me that thinks that)
plus with barney you have the barney army support so the crowd wouldn't be one sided like it gets when Taylor gets in front

He knows already that he can do it, but as he's always admitted he's shocking in the early stages of tournies usually, and while he's in the BDO he gets a few games against the likes of me early doors to ease his way into it..... in the PDC he'd be up against 90+ average men who'd be out to get him from the word go. I reckon thats what worries him, that he'd struggle to build up enough pennies in the OOM table to get himself into the big 'uns.
Just a thought.

If I had to play Taylor in a major final I would rather be a player that Taylor knows very little about, as its known, Taylor has been practising with Terry Jenkins, also with Adrian Lewis and other top players, I think Taylor does this not only for the practise but to find out as much as he can about his opponents games and then has all the knowledge he needs to beat them and knows what to expect from them where as a player that is unknown to Taylor has the elliment of surprise and would make Taylor have to think more about them during the game.
I think Taylor struggles more with players that handle pressure well and are not easily distracted or show no signs of giving up, I noticed something during the final on sunday with Terry Jenkins, when Terry won 4 legs on the bounce and Taylor finally got darts at a double, loosing 4 legs certainly showed when he threw for D16 then D8, he was a mile away from hitting the target, maybe this is a weakness that can be exploited by other players against Taylor, I think that if you can win 3 or 4 legs on the bounce against Taylor and keep him from throwing at a double he will when given the chance let you in and miss a vital double.

i thought we were talking finals davey not 1st round best of 9 matches. the uk open loss was best of 19 where the best player should win and taylor lost that 1
does the jenkins match count as a big tourney loss since taylor still win the title??? he didnt actually put taylor out the tourney with his win
