Which dart players can you see in 5 or 10 years time being like top players in todays game? Can you see Wade or Lewis becoming like Taylor, will Nicholson be the new slimline Peter Manley? And who can you see taking over as the Terry Jenkins, Barney, Scholton, Part etc in the top flight of darts or will these players still be on top in 5 years and 10 years time? And do we maybe perhaps have an Eric Bristow, John Lowe or Jocky Wilson in the making??

An interesting topic:
I can see Wade & King being the top boys for the next 5-10 years, 100 averages will be their usual game.
Jenkins, Tabern & Hamilton will be not far behind.
Barney will start to struggle and be pushed by the likes of Mark Walsh, Kevin McDine & VVDV
I've there's an up and coming player called Dave Green who might just get his act together by then too ;D
And as for the "New" Taylor in 5-10 years well thats easy ............... that'll be Phil Taylor ;D

I think that Taylor had 1 or 2 years max left, I think we are seeing a final surge, happens top players in most sports, they start to fade slightly, and then they give it one last go, and soon they fade away even quicker.

wade will be in top 2-4 for the next 10 year, has the dedication to put in the practice to stay at the top
as long as taylor is enjoying it still i see him still being at the top in 5 year but maybe not 10

Obviously I was concentrating only on the second tier of World Darts (PDC) but the stars of the real World Championships will be Robbie Green, Ross Montgomery, Stevie Bunting & James Eno (You may have to wait 15 years for that one but it'll happen) ;D

Keep and eye out for Liam Joseph, he's only 9 atm, but beat 3 super league players on friday (2 ex county) and also hit a 180. Wish I could do that when i was 9, come to think of it, wish i could do it now.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned Kevin McDine. I think you will see a lot more of Kev in the next few years. Slowly climbing the PDC OOM and as you seen against Merv he can give anyone a run for there money.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned scouser, I think you will see a lot more of scouser in the next few years, slowly climbing into his car to drive home from opens after first round defeats and as you have seen in the opens he can give anyone a run for their money ;D ;D ;D
