serious question Dave....
What is the difference between a dole dosser, a gambler and a professional dart player?
I'm confused as to where you stand as you claim you are self sufficient, how ever you certainly don't earn enough to pay the bills from genuine darts tournaments!
I personally feel you need professional help and I ain't talking about from the darting fraternity.

serious question Dave.... What is the difference between a dole dosser, a gambler and a professional dart player? Dave, I was wondering about the mental side of darts.
So many commentators reckon a huge amount of success comes from having the right mindset.
Does getting abuse from so many toolbags who've never seen you play make you more determined and help you or is it discouraging?
And how do you take praise from names like Chris Mason and Eric Bristow. Do you take it with a pinch of salt or take encouragement from it??

Of corse you take encouragement from positive comments from top names in the game, its good to know that the big names in the game notice you and take an intrest in your handy work. In the past ive had Eric say that I will go far in the game and Mace say that I have a nice throwing action amoung some of the comments made by them about me. It dont bother me at all that idiots throw abuse at me and slate me, funny how these arseholes stand whispering to eachother (look thats that daveboygreen fella) shitting themselves when they go to see how the top players play and spot me walking on or off a board. Its always good to upset the applecart and piss off the doubters by winning or beating players they think you cant, I have always believed that a positive mental attitude is what is needed to get to the top in any sport and I will never change the way I think, act or behave just to please other people, its nice to be liked but being liked dont make you a winner. |

Now, now, play nice please  Well what do you expect from some halfwit who has to dress up to get reconised at darts tournaments cause im sure as hell he never gets noticed for his darting ability!!! Your right Dave - But at least I'm known on the circuit...... I do these things not just brag about what I can do........ When you get back to the PDC and start appearing on stage I will wear an outfit for you of your choice....(Thats how confident I feel that it won't happen) |

I thought this was a thread to ask Dave some questions, not to start having a go at the guy?
So he wants to become a pro-darter and thinks he might have the ability to do it. Well good luck to you Dave, Im not good enough myself (like the majority on here) and wouldn't have the balls to try and support myself purely through darts. The problem with sports in England is that we are too quick to get on someone's back and if they show any sort of confidence in themselves it is almost always construed as arrogance.
