Kate - The BDO is classed as the amature darts league while the PDC is classed as the Pro circuit - The prize money shows this for you.... So yes my stament still stands - If you check out the Prize money won in the BDO for DBG then I don't know about you but I can't survive on nothing.............. Ok then a better question would be how can you survive on so little money you win on the circuit... Happy Now

Happy Now im sure the top bdo players survive with sponcership and exhibtions, cuz we all know the prize money is piss poor for them. some are happy with that and for others who feel they want more they can always goto the pdc where the money is

Whatever is said, we all know that the BDO is the one true organisation.

i don't know or care wot dbg does in darts or wot he's won,
and as trips says the bdo guys make quite a good living from exhibitions ect, so i wud say they're happy,
its up to them where they want to play in pdc or bdo, yip i know pdc have fab money, & yes i wud like bdo to have the same sort of money for their tournaments,

Rite ok then, all been going on here while ive been in the land of nod ;D
I just wanted to clear this up before this nasty roumour does my reputation any damage, I am not a BDO player, I like several other P.D.C players played in the Cheshire open and that has been the only BDO run event I have played in the last 5 years, I am only playing opens at te moment and have every intention of returning to the P.D.C hopefully in September.

Dave, would your game against Mark Pooke class as one of your toughest in the PDC? Mark was a game I will never forget as long as I live, still to this day I don't know how on earth I managed to throw that game away after being 2-0 down in sets and 1-0 down in the 3rd set then coming back to level at 2-2 in sets and going 1-0 up in the 5th only to miss 7 darts at double to win the match, it took some superb finishing from me to battle back in that game, poor old Kieth Deller thought he was getting to the bar when Mark went 1-0 up in the 3rd set only for me to battle on and force him to chalk another 2 sets, id hit 3 ton plus checkouts all to stay in the match and another to push in front in the final set, I worked my plums off to get back in that game and gave myself a chance to win it. So yeah, I would class it as one of my toughest games.

My last 2 questions for him Firstly how can you be classed as a PRO player if your in the BDO??? For a start that's amature darts? Secondly your bragging about beating a youth player? did that make you feel big.... Firstly, I am not in the BDO, secondly, yeah, I was a youth player myself at the time so why shouldnt I??

Dave, a few people have said in the past that you have the ability but put too much pressure on yourself (prime example the 7 darts to beat Pooke). Have you found a way to counter this and do you believe the extra experience you have gained will stand you in good stead second time around?

I have been guilty in the past of putting too much presure on myself but through it all I have gained what I think is the valuable experience needed to play top level darts, the 7 darts missed against Mark Pooke was one thing that never happened to me before or has done since, maybe I just expected to win it after all the hard work and having hit 4 ton plus finishes in that match never expected to miss and lost concentration.

I know you have an aggresive manner on the oche (not a criticism) have you ever tried approaching the board with a more relaxed (Barney for example) demeanour and just rely on your natural "eye"?
