RILEYS HIT DARTS DOUBLE!

Rileys, the UK’s top pool and snooker operator, today (Friday July 10) continues its march into the world of darts with a ‘double tops’ package:

· BULLSEYE! Rileys have agreed a one-year deal with the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to sponsor the British Inter-County Darts Championships (BICC)
· BULLSEYE! Rileys are opening top quality darts zones at another nine clubs nationwide

The sponsorship package with the BDO starts in October at the beginning of the 2009/2010 BICC season.

Olly Croft, OBE, Managing Director of BDO Enterprises Ltd said: “We are delighted to welcome Rileys on board as our new BICC sponsors. It represents a major step forward in our plans to work closely with top companies, and there is a perfect fit between Rileys established activities in pool and snooker and BDO darts.

Rileys Chief Executive Officer Maurice Kelly said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring the British Inter-County Championships, and are very much looking forward to building a strong relationship with the BDO.
“This sponsorship will coincide with the arrival of nine new darts zones at our clubs, including those in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Hull and Wolverhampton.
“We are serious about darts and will continue to open dart zones in Rileys clubs across the United Kingdom.
“With pubs closing almost every day, we hope that local players and teams will come and use our outstanding facilities.”
The first-ever Rileys darts zone was opened at their Croydon club in South London of April this year.
Rileys’ darts zones feature state-of-the-art facilities, including championship standard dart boards and electronic scoring in the playing areas.

They need to get one of these Darts Zones into the Greenock one pretty soon.

It's pretty poor that the only one in Scotland is one so far away that it wouldn't be worthwhile going to it.
