Looks like a belting night of darts ahead. Two tasty looking challenge matches and two good looking PL matches.
Raymond Van Barneveld vs. Adrian Lewis
Lewis hasn't had a bad year. Done a couple of finals and some decent spots in tournaments, so he can definately pull something of an upset against Barney here, but with there being no pressure on Barney this evening, that might well work in his favour. However, I can't see Barneveld stepping the game up enough.
Prediction : Adrian Lewis ( 7-5 )
Phil Taylor vs. Dennis Priestley
Priestley has had a decent year as well, but he's up against a Phil Taylor who last week deleted any traces of doubt, and racked up the best ever TV average. I have no doubts that The Menace is going to get an absolute tanking here, which is a shame, because I quite like Priestley.
Prediction : Phil Taylor ( 7-1 )
Terry Jenkins vs. John Part
Terry Jenkins has been pretty mixed. Sure, he has come up against players playing their best, but he has also come up against guys he is capable of beating and hasn't managed to do so. John Part has had a decent PL, and really IS unlucky. He had a real chance of going through to the last night untill the Mardle thing. He hasn't played badly at all. MUCH better than last year, and I can see him winning this one.
Prediction : John Part ( 8-6 )
James Wade vs. Jelle Klaasen
Jelle Klaasen has slowed down his game, and has it helped him ? A wee bit. He is a bit more consistant, but at the same time, he isn't matching his better fast throwing performances, which he's going to have to do tonight. James Wade has had a phenomenal PL so far. Some incredible results, but you can never be sure of what Wade is going to walk on. King used the phrase "that wasn't James Wade" after hammering him earlier in the season. The pressure is off though with Wade easily through. I can see him walking this one.
Prediction : James Wade ( 8-3 )
