its proving realy hard to do and im struggling clearing muy mind of dartitis. I suffered from it for 9 months and each time i go to throw i still have thoughts of dartitis in my mind. I was considering hypnotherapy but dont know if it would do anything and could mess up my mind lol. I just want to go up there and throw them without caring where they go but most of the time it doesnt happen. My grip is a huge problem too ,which i have posted a thread on in the help section. Its getting so frustrating because i have a league match tommorow and i want to play singles. Any help would be fully appreciated cheers al

I very much doubt he'll send one back to be honest Cad. From what I'm told he pretty much changes the subject if anyone mentions it. Probably a clue in that wouldn't you say? If you talk about it / think about it it won't likely go away. Easier said than done I know, but a total shut-out of it could be the key.

but im over dartitis its just that the problem is in my head now. I think its origionaly caused by nerves 2 coz i got it at a tournament and i was worried id throw crap so i was incredibly nervous. i had one look at the stage and the cameras and it just completely messed me up. Il never make the same mistake again il just throw and enjoy it.

alcohol saves the day. without it i cant release a dart and hit the board. the brain is a funny thing, throw anything except a dart and arms works great but pick up a dart and the fooker wont let go
get the brain drunk and he will forget about it

suffered with this years ago........couldn't put up with the embarasment of throwing bad darts so jacked in for 7 years....
when i started back the dartitus had gone but so had my game, had to practice like mad to string a decent game together.....
although i'm playing alright now i don't think you ever get the same game back you once had.....
before i got struck down with it i was playing for Black Dog in Crawley in superleague was called up to play for Sussex County just as it struck......never achieved that standard of darts again since the dartitus.....
consistancy being the biggest problem to overcome, sometimes i'm on fire and nobody can beat me.....then the next night i won't be able to hit the double and not win a game all night.....its frustrating but i still enjoy playing.
