Had a quick look at the betting for the first round
Vander Rassel 5/6 to beat Shepherd
Adrian Gray 11/10 to beat Nicholson
Darin Young 11/8 to beat Van Gurner
Matt Clark 6/4 to beat Painter
John Magowan 11/10 to beat Mason
Per Laursen 11/10 to beat Newton
All look decent value to me.
Can't get the 4/9 Rodriguez to beat Scholten anymore unfortunately as it looks like they've already been filled in.

Not sure about Laursen beating Newton but it will be close, rest look real good value at least.

Can't get the 4/9 Rodriguez to beat Scholten anymore unfortunately as it looks like they've already been filled in. Every one of those games could go either way and difficult to pick a winner, Magowan vs Mason, if Mace is throwing well you never know, Laursen vs Newton, will be a tight game and I can see both Nicholson and Van Gerwin scraping through. I can also see a tight game in Clark vs Painter, good value on Clark at 6/4 but id say he is far from a cert to overturn Painter |

I like those John Magowan odds. Chris Mason has had a terrible time of it lately, thanks mostly to an injury.

The more I've looked at it, the more I think Darin Young 11/8 stands out massively. I know Van Gurner can be class on his day but 11/8 has to be a big price.

I've had a reasonable start, had Bates @3/1 to win 3-0 and Priestley @4/5 3-0. Got too many bets to work out what I've got back / running up but I have my tournament starting stake back in the accounts with loads of bets still to start / finish
