im playing for 2 teams , cherry tree . a medioka team and im playing the best darts of my life for them..havent finished a leg over 21 darts, top av 98, won2 lost 1. high finish 152 in just 3 matches
windmill , very very good line up and i have been crap. played 5 lost 3 won 2 . getting tough draws mind, high finish 82(bull 32) been throwing ok but not good .
the fact im throwing with top draw players is for some reason hindering me . pressure can affect you from your own team !!!
how has pressure affected you ?

I tend to put pressure on myself, either from playing well, and thinking why can't I do this all the time, or from playing bad, and wondering what the hell i'm doing wrong. Either way i'm never happy with my game.

i find that when pressure kicks in i start to try to hard, and a kind of dartitis kicks in, instead of staying relaxed my throw just goes tits up then my whole game suffers...... very annoying, but can't seem to stay chilled!

I'm having a strange one at the moment, my first 3 darts are usually good in my league games and I feel relaxed, then while waiting for my oppo to throw the nerves/pressure kick in ... seem to have a shakey patch for 9 darts or so (sometimes without adverse affects and score OK) ... on Wednesday I never felt comfortable through all 3 legs, ended up beating a good player 2-1 with a 102 finish with him on tops for the match, shook hand threw my darts on the table and stayed in a depressed mood for the rest of the night. Ordinarily I'd have been made up with a 102 finish but for some reason I just didnt enjoy the game at all.

i had a match last night against some one ive not played before, and pressure got to me at key times, i had the darts to win games and was just wide of the mark each time, bad times, when stood at the oche on the outshots, i could feel my ears and face cheeks start burning and i felt i had a slapped arse face, as the game wore on the big scores where coming out for both of us, 41,43 and my favourite hated score 26, i had afew 100, 134's and 140's, as did he in the end i was defeated 9-8 so i wasn't to upset as it went down to the wire, i need more match practice against people i dont know so i can get this match pressure under control somewhat!!
