im jst starting to play again after dartitis and iv had a few 180s this week and plenty of tonne pluses in practice, but some of the time my darts are ridiculous hitting 12s and even 9s. They just seem to fly out of my hand completely wrong and my grip has defenitely got worse due to the dartitis. I used to be a prety decent player and i hardly ever missed hitting 2 20s , however i rarely used to hit tonne pluses but now i cant stop hitting them evn when some of my darts im throwing are terrible and even missing the board 2da.I won my first singles game for ages on sunday burt playing like this il realy struggle in winning another. I used to enter loads of tournamnets and do prety good in them but if i cant get my accuracy back i wont be able to. my darts seem to spin out of my hand and drop low and this is realy messing up my game. Any help would be thoroughly appreciated cheers al

First suggestion would be make sure your arm is relaxed, dont snatch always try to throw smoothly

u think thats bad i would glady take hitting the board most times. aiming for a 20 i will miss the board and cabinet off to the left of the 16. thats happens every day when i try to throw a dart.
i just cannot let go of the fooker. my arm is nearly fully extended before it finally is released. i hate this fooking game. will say alcohol and lots of does help.
so maybe u should have a few cold ones, settle down a bit and stop thinking so much about ur game. only time the brain is needed in darts is for counting. thinking too much fooks up ur game.

iv already been through the stage where i was hitting the surround and wall and i had to play dennis priestly with dartitis in front of a packed pub. i think you should just be realy positive and i see this as a good thing because dartitis will just make me a better player and give me more determinationm and will to win! n btw im only 14 so they wont serve me alcohol

maybe its because you are so negative. Dartitis wont go unless you have a positive attitude and dont let it beat you. Dennis priestly told me that if i want it bad enough it will happen and right now i want it more than ever and i will do anything to achieve it. Iv been putting in 6 hours a day and even using relaxation techniques like deep breathing and visualising things in my mind. It does work but patience is the key.

negative? ur shitting me?? i know why it comes back. nothing to do with negativity at all anyway at 14 you shouldnt be putting so much pressure on urself to perform. u do know the difference between snatching and dartitis? ? cuz most dont

geting over dartitis is a big thing mate dont get cross with what you are throwing now, all you have to do is try and focus on the single 20 aim and hit let go and hit. the more times you hit it the confidence should come back but dont give in mate please

Dartitis wont go unless you have a positive attitude and dont let it beat you. the sandman aint negative. he's a decent player and i'm no just saying that cause we're team m8's and i'm scared of his blow up wife. i played for another team last season and noticed the sandman could chuck a dart and have seen it more this season. dont get me wrong he's right about sometimes missing the board but that happens to loads of players. my game is nowhere near what it was last season. still confident every throw but once i release the dart i'm hitting a 1 or 5 with the 1st dart. had the same thing happen 2 year ago but just tried to play through it.

Hope it turns out alright mate, dartitis sounds horrible. I think I'll end up with it somewhere down my darting career because I've only been playing a week or two and already over analyse every aspect of my game.
