1 game dont make them a great team croatia aint the dominate team they once were. england will win the group playing bad 1. Croatia have never been a dominant team, but this current generation of players is second only to the Suker-Boban-Prosinecki-Boksic-Jarni team of the 90s. 2. This is also pretty much the same team that reached the 1/4 finals of the Euros and beat England at Wembley last year. 3. England aren't a great team, but they have a handful of excellent players (Gerrard and Rooney being the best two IMO). They now have a proper manager. I expect them to qualify and do OK at the next World Cup. 4. An overrated team? By The Sun newspaper (and the BBC on the eve of the 2006 WC, where some shocking statements were made by Hansen, Lawrenson and Shearer about them having the best squad in Europe), yes. Although it must be remembered that The Sun also underrates the team when it fails to live up to expectations. The vast majority of English people do not expect great things from their national team anymore - history has taught them enough painful lessons. So, no I don't think that they are generally overrated.

fair enough another win and as i said england will win the group playing badly
having seen a bit of the 2 games i still dont fancy that team to go past a last 8 at a world cup.
still no reliable goalie who can keep u in a game against a brazil or argentina power attack.
with heskey and rooney up front, neither of them is gonna be top scorer or even in the top 10. its a good partnership but its no shearer/sheringham, who could break down any defence.
defence and midfield england are up there with the best

Agree, probably won't go further than the 1/4 finals, but I reckon that's as good as the English can hope for with the quality of world football these days.
Definitely agree about the goalkeepers. My god they're shit lol.

if they find a worldclass goalie and goalscorer in the next 18months they would give anyone a run for their money
