Against Chris Mason, he won his legs in 13, 15, 11, 11, 13 and 12  Surely one of the best floor tournie, and indeed, one of darts greatest performances ever! He's facing James Wade in the final at the moment. |

one of the best but not the best. a friend of mine called chris thompson hit 5 x 11 darters to win 5-0 earlier in the year averaging about 135 but that is not the best. Mick mcgowan in his form year has the record as he did 5 legs in 52 or 53 darts

120 averages arent a rare occurance on the floor tournaments. its just that taylors games got all the hype

They're pretty rare, but then records aren't kept for floor tournaments so there is no way of proving it either way. The sport of darts is terrible as a whole for keeping records.
I recall Mick McGowan beating Chris Mason with a 129 ave in 2006, and that was considered to be either a record or close to a record at the time (over a best of 9 leg match). Which tournament did Chris Thompson hit 5*11 darters in?

he hit it in one of the uk open regionals that he got to the semis in last year and it is official the second behing mick mcgowan who has a floor tournament pushing 140. they asked the officials after he did it

Mick is the best dart player in Ireland by some way, he has yet to reach the heights of that he should of, he only has 1 PDC win, and if he can reach his best, he can win a few tournaments.
