this thread will be for everyone to post their practice routines or regimes and maybe even pick up new ones. ill start a simple one but effective round the board dbls start at dbl and move onto dbl 2 once you hit it either 2 or 3 times (or once if your a beginner) then once you hit dbl 2 move on to dbl 3 etc and carry on until you reach the bull. i personally dont move on until i get 2 in the same bed

170 pretty simple really instead of playing 501 down as normal just start at 170 (the highest checkout) and your aim is to take it out in as few darts as possible ie) 3.
especially helpful when working out finishes, you may also wish to start from 301 down too soo you have gain more experience of 170-100 checkouts

bobs 27 ala dart pro
start with 27 points have 3 darts at dbl 1 miss with 2 darts hit with one add 2 to your score (ie 27+2=29)move onto dbl 2 throw 3 darts at it miss with all 3 your score would now be 29-4=25 so you minus the value of the dbl missed.
move around the dbls inc bull inner & outer if your score reaches zero or below game over start again, name of the game hit dbls and aim to beat your previous score or someone else.

trips
round the board trebles basically score 3 points for a trip and 1 for a sngl and 0 for a dbl as before 3 darts at each treble aim to better prev scores or somebody elses.
i suppose this could work for doubles too actually ??

dunno if it has a name or if it is already a game but i go around the board getting a minimum of 3 "marks" in each number before moving onto the next eg)
3 sgl 1s
1 tbl
1dbl + 1 sgl
gives you again good treble awareness and improves grouping all around the board imo
but you could increase the marks required as per your skill base but ill stick to 3 for the moment

I have done all them except 27 pts and ''the game with no name'', it can be quite a pain and but always relieving when you do them ;D

My practice sessions go like this:
I go round the board on singles
then go round the board on doubles
then I go round the board on Trebles (all including 25 & Bull)
Then I'll hammer the 20 for about 10 minutes.
Then I play 501.

another game i have felt has improved my doubles is one i learned courtesy of ben "the porksword" french and is as follows.....
1st dart throw at dbl 1, 2nd dart throw at dbl 2, 3rd dart throw at dbl 3 if you hit dbl 1 and miss the other 2 then your next throw you will aim at dbl 2, dbl 2, dbl 3 and move around the board accordingly as the owness is on hitting the dbl with one dart which is representative of a game !
